Ince Resource Recovery Park (RRP) will provide the North West with a range of solutions to waste management issues faced by the region, through the provision of facilities aimed at recycling, recovery and reprocessing of waste materials.
If we are to deal with major issues like global warming and sustainable development, everyone now knows that we need to make more careful use of the earth’s resources and to do something about the increasing amount of waste that our society produces.
We must make more efficient use of energy and look for renewable sources of energy rather than continue our reliance on fossil fuels, we must conserve vital mineral resources and we must produce less waste.
The Ince Resource Recovery Park is a modern, clean and sustainable park, focussed on reprocessing and remanufacturing of waste materials. The development will comprise of three distinct elements:
- Refuse Derived Power Plant (RDF)
- Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF)
- Environmental Technologies Complex (ETC)
Whilst the RDF Plant and IWMF are designed primarily to manage waste diverted from landfill, the ETC is a cluster of businesses designed to reprocess and remanufacture waste from specific sources and streams. |
